Welcome! My name is Anna Kiff - I’m an acupuncturist with over 20 years experience and am passionate about health and it’s direct link to quality of life. I work with the client for a bespoke treatment which produces especially effective results. I work at several practices in London, including a NHS GP surgery, which is very important to me as I believe that the integration of acupuncture and Western medical treatments can often work extremely well together. I have also taken part in several groundbreaking NHS research projects alongside the University of Westminster.
Acupuncture is a surprisingly gentle form of treatment which can accomplish deep and lasting results. By inserting hair-fine needles at certain sites in the body acupuncture promotes the body's ability to heal itself. Often the route to a big improvement lies in small changes which may go beyond the body, such changes in lifestyle, posture or diet.
I love to share my enthusiasm for acupuncture and what it can do, from treating recurrent lower back pain, neck pain or migraines through to the sometimes less immediately tangible effects of stress and anxiety, low energy. As well as acupuncture I offer Tuina (Chinese Massage-done through clothing), facial acupuncture, Qi Gong/breathing exercises, dietary advice and mindfulness techniques.
If you’d like to know more about what I can do please email me. I also offer 15 minute free consultations.

Acupuncture is perfect for those who have ongoing conditions such as lower back pain or fertility problems as well as those with short term conditions such as sports injuries or tiredness. Its benefits can go beyond physical realm, providing relief for stress, anxiety or depression.
Acupuncture has been found to be successful in the treatment of the following conditions:
Acupuncture is a great way to promote and maintain good health and can be used not only when symptoms arise but also as part of a healthy lifestyle. It is also an effective way to boost your the immune system, increase energy levels and keep common complaints such as back pain at bay.
On our initial consultation we will discuss your main issues in detail, I'll take an extensive case history of your health and create a personalised treatment.
This includes taking your pulse, look at your tongue and ask you questions about your diet and lifestyle. No special clothes are needed. Where appropriate, you may be asked to remove clothing to access acupuncture points. Acupuncture does not require you to fully disrobe.
Most treatments will involve inserting high grade single-use disposable needles in various acupuncture points. Note that these points aren't necessarily at the site of the complaint. I'm known for my gentle needle technique and many patients report a deep sense of calm during the treatment. You will be able to drive and return to work after attending your session.
Your treatment may also include dietary recommendations, postural changes, specific breathing exercises (Qi Gong) or mindfulness techniques.
The number of sessions depends on the complaint to be treated. Usually, significant change can be felt after five or six sessions, often less.
Facial Acupuncture is an effective, non-surgical, painless treatment which reduces the signs of ageing. Hair-thin needles are inserted into certain points on the face and body to increase local blood flow and encourage the production of collagen. This helps erase fine lines and improve the quality of the skin, giving it a noticeable lift and a youthful glow.
Facial Acupuncture is recommended for both men and women.
Facial Acupuncture is not an “instant fix” - it's a natural and long-term approach to skin health and full body wellness. Unlike Botox or fillers, acupuncture goes beyond the surface, providing a whole-body approach to rejuvenation that brings lasting results. The changes are gradual, over the course of several weeks, but sometimes improvement can be seen even after the first session. Clients don’t just look better - they feel better too!
The ideal course is 12-15 sessions and significant, lasting improvements can be seen after about 6 sessions. Introductory, one-off or maintenance sessions are also available.
After studying for a degree in Literature and Philosophy at Manchester University, I trained as an acupuncturist for three years at the London School of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine – now part of the University of Westminster, graduating in 1996. I finished my studies working in a hospital in Kunming, China, a fascinating experience. My interest in Chinese art and philosophy has helped enrich my acupuncture practice hugely.
I'm especially proud to have worked for the NHS for five years having participated in three NHS research projects, two at Victoria Medical Centre, a busy central London GP surgery, and one at St Charles Hospital, all in conjunction with the University of Westminster. All have been peer-reviewed and published:
Men's health - stress, anxiety and depression
I have lectured on Chinese medicine, supervised third year acupuncture students. I also work with TFL, Barnett Council, Family Mosiac housing - using Mindfullness, Qi Gong, Chinese massage and group ear acupuncture, working with both groups and individuals.
At present I work privately from a NHS GP surgery in Central London and The Aman Spa at the Connaught Hotel.
